DFA Passport Direct

I highly suggest that people take this route. It's really convenient. I'm too lazy to explain, so please just visit the website if you're interested.

Oh fine... Basically you can apply for a passport or have your old one renewed online or via telephone. They pick up your documents and deliver your passport to you, so you only have to show up at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) once. And once there, you even have a special line with chairs and stuff. :) I was only at the DFA for 15 minutes, pretty cool. This is all for a minimal fee of about 200 bucks, if I'm not mistaken. You can even call them anytime (24 hours!) if you have any questions. :)

I was extremely disappointed that the fingerprint scanning still hasn't been automated. I remember having my digital fingerprints taken when I had my Voter's ID processed. Oh well...

Good to know. My passport expires in 2011, but I'm running out of pages so I need to get a new one (such a world traveler kuno!).

Well, you have to admit that you travel much more than the average person, so I'm not surprised you're running out of pages. Hehe. Yup, try it out. Convenient. I remember they even gave me some candy while I was waiting in line. :P
