the american dream

I never really envisioned myself living in America. But right now I'm seriously considering applying as a teacher in the US. They have a great need for them right now (a little over 200,000 per year for the next 5 years). You don't need any experience, don't need a license. All you need is any 4-year college degree. Click HERE to read more about it.

I don't want to live off my parents for the rest of my life. And I'd like to give something back before they go. And of course I can take my MBA while working... plus I can pay for it myself.

It's so sad. I used to look down on people leaving the country. But the thing is, I can't imagine being able to save up enough money to live as comfortably as my parents do now. I can't even drive around for fear of being carjacked. A policeman might even shoot me if he fancies.

The projection is that the country's healthcare system is going to collapse in the coming years. *Sigh*

I don't know if this decision is driven solely by emotion, let's see what happens.

Have you read the alchemist by Paulo Coelho? anyway

i highly recommend traveling and living abroad for our age group - earning a bit enough to invest then come home and investing in the this country...
don't raise your kids there unless you want them to have no love for the land (which is what happens...)

we have lots of problems in our country but as long as we keep working in our circle of influence we can bring about great change :) we just ned it to "tip" now donating blood is the first step and i'm happy for you

where did you read about the health care collapsing? Will this health insurance fall like the human errors done in the college plans?

hi gab! the health care thing i've heard from more than one source... one was from a doctor who works in pgh... and it's what the nurses and doctors who have chosen to stay are trying to prevent from happening... i've heard some stuff on TV rin about the collapse if the government doesn't take drastic measures to keep our nurses and doctors from leaving the country... sad 'no? :(

no, i haven't read the alchemist. i will do that soon. :)

yes, deary, read it. even if it's gone the "popular" route, i still say it's worth it..plus at least one re-read.

it is sad to see yourself doing something you somehow swore you'd never do...but don't feel guilty for it. people sell out all the time! hehe. but really, we do what we have to do, and i will totally support your decision, whatever that may be (first, because you're my friend, and second because i know you won't make a half-assed choice). BIG HUG!
