Movies

John Carter

Not exactly as enthralled by Avatar as the rest of the world seems to have been, I wasn't really sure what to expect watching something that served as the inspiration for it.  But to my surprise, I enjoyed watching John Carter.  And of course it didn't hurt that the lead didn't turn into a blue creature and maintained his, uhm, "regular" (hot) human form on Mars.  Hihi.

Mirror, Mirror

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was pretty entertaining.  There were a lot of really funny moments...  Of course you can't remove the cheesy lines (it IS a fairy tale, after all), but it was a fun ride anyways.  Expect something really weird at the end though, which I suppose is not that weird when you discover where the Director hails from.  I don't really want to spoil it for anyone who might want to watch it.

I heard John Carter fell below expectations, but is just really a fun movie to watch. :P

Ang movie nights namin ni Fely J now consist of a Blu-Ray DVD and microwaveable butter popcorn. :P We are trying to revive team movie nights though so baka next time makakapunta na kami ulit sa sinehan haha.
