below sea level

Friday night my niece and I watched I Now Pronounce You, Chuck and Larry (which was pretty funny, by the way) at the Power Plant Mall and to our surprise, it was raining cats and dogs when we got out. Luckily I had my folding umbrella in my bag so I proceeded to fold my pants up and walk on over to the car. If it's one thing I hate about rain, it's getting your shoes wet and all squishey - yuck! So after getting the car, I picked my niece up from the mall's driveway.

Anyway, I was all excited to get home but we ran into some really deep floods (deep enough for the cabs in front of us to make u-turns - which of course I ended up copying) and tried another route. Unfortunately, the other route was flooded as well.

I decided to drive on over to my sister's house to wait for the rain to stop and the floodwaters to subside. But as soon as she lent me some pajamas, I fell asleep right away.

The movie thing was supposed to help me de-stress, but I got a load of a different kind of stress that night. For some reason though, my spirits were up. It was actually quite an adventure. :P

I hope my dad gets a jeep soon. He's been thinking about it for quite some time.

Living below sea level can really be a pain in the ass, coupled with poor drainage systems. :P Oh well, that's life. I have a lot to be thankful for anyways.
