Prodigal employee? We'll see.

I might return to my former company. I had a talk with my previous boss Wednesday evening and he'll do what he can to make it look like I just took a leave without pay or something of the sort. We're still waiting for feedback from the big boss. Good thing he's a really nice guy. He was even joking around asking one of the directors if I was "sorry for my transgressions".

Yes, after only a little over two months, I'm leaving... but even if this is not going to be too good for my career, I really can't bear being in Alabang. I've come to the conclusion that it might be a good place to live in because it's so quiet and all that, but I don't like working there. It also doesn't help that the people aren't well gelled and don't speak very highly of each other... too much politicking, so unhealthy.

And I've realized that annoying people are WAY better than people who really intend to push their weight around. At least annoying people don't realize what they are doing. The latter is well aware of his or her actions.

One thing's for sure though. I want to work in the city again. Makati or even Ortigas would be good. I miss being surrounded by hordes of people bustling about.

Glad to see that you're self aware enough to know this...

I'm really happy that your old company is open to take you back in :) i too have resigned and in my interview with the president she said that i was welcome to come back any time (what a great relief that was for me!)

i disagree about your environment. I used to work in the middle of makati and when i moved department located in the Ateneo de Manila campus. It was a welcome change from concrete jungle to the trees and grass parking.

i agree though on your statement I've realized that annoying people are WAY better than people who really intend to push their weight around. At least annoying people don't realize what they are doing. The latter is well aware of his or her actions.
WAY!

Thanks! Good luck to you too. :)

Seriously, I love Makati. As I walked along Ayala, I had this stupid smile on my face, seeing all the people and buses and everything! I looked like a crazy woman na nga eh. I think Makati's in my blood. Haha. At least for now at my age it is. :p
